Jumong Episode 65

After informing Lady  Yoo Hwa about Jumong's message to his mother, Bu Beo No was able to go back to the Damul's Army headquarters and reported to Jumong the condition and his observations within the Buyeo palace.  He likewise told Jumong about Prince Daeso's plan to meet as they ambush the Damul Army by the Akbu bridge leading to the Biryu river.

With the information told by Bu Beo No, Jumong with the Damul army was able to properly plan the army's next move to intercept and ambush the Buyeo army.

Before the Damul's army's departure going to Akbu bridge, Hyeopbo requested Mo Pal Mo to let him try on the metal armor that he made for Jumong.  Although Mo Pal Mo warns that the armor was too heavy to wear, Hyeopbo insisted and wore the armor as he tried to casually walk with it despite the inconvenience and tried to show off to Jumong  and his friends to see.

Jumong and the Damul army converged on the way going to Akbu bridge to show them that he is well and disprove the rumor that he was dead.  The army rejoiced and instantly motivated seeing their brave leader.

The Damul army attacked and annihilated the Buyeo army using its fire strategy of utilizing smoke bombs and sotan fire bombs.

During the battle, Daeso noticed that  Bu Beo No was attacking the Buyeo army and not the Damul soldiers.  He then realized he was betrayed by Bu Beo No and decided to kill him.  But Jumong was quick to rescue  Bu Beo No and prevented Daeso in killing him as they battle.  In defeat, the Buyeo army retreated from the battle field.

Upon his return to Buyeo palace, Daeso reported his loss to the king and requested for another chance to fight and battle Jumong again.  But King Geumwa strongly suggest he recover and recuperate first. The king insisted that instead of battling Jumong, Prince Daeso should focus on continuing the blockade and embargo campaign propagated by Buyeo along with the Han to oppress Jolbon and the Damul from replenishing its provisions.  Han governor Jeong Yang agrees with King Geumwa's suggestion to Prince Daeso.  Although furious from his loss, Prince Daeso cannot refute what he was told to do.

With fury raging within him, Prince Daeso summon for Bu Beo No.  But Na-Ru told him that he already went missing along with his family.  Na-Ru also reported that a month ago, the stationed Buyeo soldiers at the Jolbon borders were also killed by unidentified business traders which he believe was also Jumong.  Daeso then realized he has been gravely tricked by Jumong.

Meanwhile, Lady Sul Lan got a chance to encounter Yuri, Jumong's son with Lady Yesoya along the palace hallway.  Queen Wonhu, (Prince Daeso's mother and queen consort of King Geumwa) happens to be with Lady Sul Lan during the encounter and even introduced Yuri to the queen as she asked Yuri to pay request and bow to her.  Yuri obediently bowed to the queen.  Before Yuri got more acquainted with the two women, Lady Yesoya came and overheard what Lady Sul Lan have said.  She rushed to Yuri and took her son away from them as she threatens them about God's punishment for the act.   Lady Sul Lan reacted by  also threatening Lady Yesoya.  However, Queen Wonhu understanding Lady Sul Lan's motherly instincts ruled out and told her not to reprimand mother and son and just leave them alone.

Lady Sul Lan brags out that when Prince Daeso ascends to the throne she will asked Daeso for Yuri as her trophy and plans to teach Yuri because she's lonely.  However, Queen Wonhu warns her not to since she was uncomfortable seeing Yuri since he remind her so much about Jumong.

Back in Jolbon, Jumong and the Damul army returned wit people rejoicing their victory.  Seeing and feeling the crisis on people's provisions and disease threats, Jumong was left with no choice but to seek divine intervention and invoke the priestesses to perform some divination rites.   Though he thought of visiting the affected areas as her comrades advises him to rest first and take care of his body. Instead of losing hope, Jumong decided to kneel down and pray to the gods for the crises he and the people are experiencing.  He did his devotion for days and nights as the army and the people watched and pray along with him.

Meanwhile, So Seo No, who agreed to join the traders on a sea voyage to get provisions for Jolbon was likewise experiencing the difficulties of travelling on the rough seas.
