A Biryu soldier approached Jumong and relayed the grand chief Song Yang's message summoning General Jumong alone to their headquarters. So Seo No warned Jumong how crafty Song Yang was and that it could be plotting to kill him.
But Jumong decided to go and meet grand chief Song Yang reasoning that even the people of the Biryu tribe was part of Jolbon that he needs to take under his wings in order to build the nation. He said that he was once reminded by his father, Commander Hae Ma-su that he can't fulfill a great mission if he can't even protect the person next to him. Jumong believed that unifying Jolbon without shedding blood is the initial step in recovering the glory of the vast Joseon empire. he said that if visiting grand chief Song Yang is the will of the gods, the gods will not forsake them. And soon, Jumong rode away to see grand chief Song Yang.
Jumong entered the heavily guarded Biryu tribe and talked it out with grand chief Song Yang. During the talks, grand chief Song Yang lay helpless on allying with Jumong since the Han as now forsaken him and his tribe with reinforcements. In the end, grand chief Song Yang accompanied Jumong back to the Damul army's headquarters and agreed to Jumong's terms.
King Geumwa learned about Jumong's effort in successfully uniting the different Jolbon tribes and prepare for the unification ceremony. King Geumwa summoned Lady Hwa to his chamber to tell her that his fears of finally reuniting Jolbon such are starting to come true through Jumong's efforts and that Jumong will soon take over Buyeo. He's also afraid that the moment nears when he and Lady Yoo Hwa becomes irreconcilable.
