Jumong Episode 5

One day, Prince Daeso and Young-po are practicing their fighting skills with the Prime Minister and Chief General watching them. The Chief General praised their abilities by telling them that they both can lead the Buyeo army in stead of the king.  Prince Daeso then asked the Prime Minister'a opinion on what would be the outcome in case Buyeo goes to war with Hyeon-to city which was hampering their expansion.  The Prime Minister replied that it will be difficult for Buyeo to win the war because the weapons of the Han nation are incomparable to those of Buyeo.  He also noted that it was the king's efforts and diligence in developing its weaponry that he was able to win battles.

So Seo No and her caravan returned from their Ok-Jo trade to their Buyeo post and was welcomed back by her father. Yeon Ta Bal was delighted with Se Seo No's accomplishments about her trade journey as reported by her uncle.  He planned to pass on the chieftain position to her soon.

Yeon Ta Bal watches from afar as priestess Yeo Mi Eul as she contemplates while bathing with her maids bathe near a waterfall.  Yeon Ta Bal plans to visit the priestess to win over business favors with King Geumwa of Buyeo since the priestess is a close confidante of the king. Yeon Ta Bal wished for a visit and the priestess gladly accepted as she told him to visit her at the divination temple at Buyeo palace.

The king decides to hold a testing event for the newly developed weapons and invited the court as well as priestess Yeo Mi Eul. Before the testing event started, Prince Daeso requested that he be allowed to test the new weapon with Prince Jumong as his match.

Initially during the match, Prince Daeso seemed to have the upper hand until Jumong with one great blow of his sword was able to break Prince Daeso's sword as he almost cut Prince Daeso's neck due to his broken sword. Mo Pal Mo, the iron master immediately knelt in front of the king in apology for the malfunctioned sword. But instead of being disappointed, the king ordered the Prime Minister to commend Mo Pal Mo and the ironsmiths for their hard work.

Prince Young-po consoled his brother Prince Daeso that it was not him who was at fault but the faulty sword why he lost the match with Jumong.  But prince Daeso suspected that Jumong has been learning swordsmanship from someone and instructed Prince Young-po to find out developments by closely watching Jumong.  Jumong for his part told his mother that instincts made him defend himself and escape Prince Daeso's blows during the match. But Lady Yoo Hwa thought that the lessons from the brother of Mu Deuk who was training Jumong on occasions that he was able to do better in his swordsmanship.  Mu Deuk's brother Mu-Song was a captain prison guard of a cave prison under Mt. Soo-Mi for special prisoners.

While practicing martial arts with Mu-Song in the  cave prison, Jumong encountered a strange prisoner which he found out has been detained in that prison for decades.

Jumong told his mother, the conditions of the prisoners kept on that cave prison under Mt. Soo-Mi where he used to practice with Mu-Song.  He told her that a strange blind prisoner has been imprisoned there for decades for unknown crimes.  He told his mother that the moment he saw that  
strange prisoner its as if he was struck by lightning. One day, he was able to chat with the blind prisoner and ask some questions about him.  But the strange prisoner was likewise elusive to answer him properly about his queries since according to him, he was also clueless as to what crime did he commit nor why he was imprisoned there.  He also have forgotten who he was due to his long incarceration to that place.

The queen summoned Lady Yoo Hwa to her chamber in order to let her hear what a visiting troubadour was telling the people from the stories he collected from his numerous travels. The story that the troubadour told was deliberately arranged by the queen to hurt the feelings of Lady Yoo Hwa.  But instead of giving in to the whims of the queen to see her distressed, the lady just shun it off as  sme wild rumor as she forgive the troubadour who now was pleading for his life.

The rumors about General Hae Mo-su and Lady Yoo Hwa have reached the Prime Minister that he consulted it to priestess Yeo Mi Eul.  But the priestess seemed so distressed about it that she think she has caused the general's death in the hands of the Han.

True to his words, Yeon Ta Bal paid a visit to priestess Yeo Mi Eul bringing along silk and some rare delicacies.

One day, priestess Yeo Mi Eul along with the Prime Minister visited the cave prison.  Mu-Song showed and accompanied the two inside the prison.

Priestess Yeo Mi Eul was one of those people involved along with the Prime Minister on why General Hae Mo-su was imprisoned in the cave prison decades ago when the general came back alive after supposedly dead when ambushed by an arrow shot from a cliff and fell on the river below the cliff.  The general managed to return back to the palace gates where he was captured by the guards loyal to the the high priestess.  General Hae Mo-su was hidden and imprisoned in the cave prison.
